CONTEST REGISTRATION INFORMATION - For German Teachers

Dear German Teacher/Liebe Lehrerin! Lieber Lehrer!

            Although this is late notice, the DSSV would like to invite your students to participate in the 2008 essay contest. Since many of you may have already scheduled your AATG test date, students may write the essay on a separate date. Also due to the late notice, the deadline for sending the essays to me has been extended to February 8, 2008.  Only students who have completed an AATG test [Level III or Level IV]  and written an essay will be eligible for the grand prizes from the DSSV.

The DSSV will again offer the following to participating schools :

            1. Every teacher whose students participate in the DSSV essay contest will receive $50.00 to be used for classroom materials.

            2. At least one student per school will be guaranteed a cash award.

            3. Cash awards will be given to the writers of the top thirty essays.

            4. One student, with combined points from the ATTG test and a well written essay, will receive the top prize of a trip to Germany.

            5. Two students, with combined points from the AATG test and a well written essay, will receive $ 500.00 each.

            6. Two essays will win a $ 100 prize in a random drawing from the essays that did not make the top thirty.

If you wish to have your students participate in the essay contest, please complete the DSSV Contest Registration Form below and click "Submit".   I will promptly send you contest materials and essay contest proctoring instructions.
